I want to start by saying that I find the word "internship" inappropriate for my time with Aímée. An internship is mandatory, and I personally didn't feel like I was thinking every day, "Ugh, I have to do it again..."

My own experience is that my internship at this company was very beneficial. I learned a lot and made many connections. I'm pleased to see that the people I interacted with, both at the production company and during meetings, were all willing to teach me something, which has allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge about various aspects of fashion.

It took me a while to get used to focusing on what suits Aímée instead of what I like for myself, but I think I've managed to make the switch to the brand quite successfully. I also feel comfortable sharing my ideas with Suzanne; she never criticizes them, but helps me move forward with the necessary tips, which I really appreciate. I even start to think my ideas aren't that bad after all, hee hee ;)

I learned a lot about fabrics such as: Many women like to wear cotton, acrylic pills, polyester is warm and makes women sweat, etc.

The core tasks within this company are very diverse, from attending a fashion show to a day at the production company.

Diversity Aímée: Spending days at the production facility, designing the AW22 collection, designing socks, trying on/measuring/altering samples, creating the AW22 collection book, attending webinars by trend watchers Lidewij Edelkoort and Christine Boland, attending a fashion show, selling in a pop-up boutique, selling the Six Ámes interim collection, prospecting, etc.

These are interesting and educational days. The company values your participation because you're eager to learn. If you're eager to learn, persistent, disciplined, energetic, and enthusiastic, this internship is perfect for you!

The great thing about this company is that if you really want to learn something, you'll have the opportunity. You get a taste of all the tasks within the company. At this company, you're working for both an agency and a label, so you learn about multiple areas of fashion, killing two birds with one stone :)

I had a fantastic internship, some very educational weeks and built a great bond with Suus.

What I wouldn't have wanted to miss!
